Our cottage is right on the water’s edge on Kushog Lake 2.5 hours from Toronto. The space is perfect for one or two families.
A bright and warm two-bedroom cottage and three-room Bunkie both at the water’s edge. A big south-facing dock always in sun is approached from a shady patio with cosy chairs. The entry to the water is shallow and sandy. Inside the cottage you’ll find a big kitchen for group meals, a cosy den for TV and games, and a bright, clean bathroom.
Tired of endless sun and water? Retreat to the cosy den and play a game or watch a movie. The Bunkie can be seen through the window across the patio.
A large, well-equipped kitchen for cooking together and a big table with spacious seating for 8.
A bright and clean bathroom is located in the main cottage. There is also an outhouse (not pictured) for when someone is taking too long in the shower.
While the dock is for sun, the patio is well-shaded.
In addition to the expansive dining table in the main cottage, the lounging spaces on the dock, and the brick patio, there are two open-air dining spaces. Enjoy the view from the wood deck with a large gas BBQ or light up the firepit around the corner, perfect for roasting marshmallows.
The right place to be can depend on the sun or wind. Sometimes the best spot is in the dappled shade of the tree at the foot of the dock.
A 4-person paddle boat, a canoe, and two stand-up paddle boards invite you to play in the lake.
Friendly entry to the clear waters of Kushog lake. Leisurely dip your toes… or fly in on the swing!
Surrounded by inviting tree stumps and a picnic table, the campfire welcomes marshmallows, hot dogs, and cosy conversation.
Please note the local bylaw stipulation: fires are only permitted after 7pm and before 7am from April to October.
The main cottage boasts two spacious bedrooms: one with a king bed and the other with a twin over twin bunk-bed.
The Bunkie holds two twin beds, a queen bed, and a double bed.
Great for kids and solid enough for nimble adults if you wanted to put all the kids in the Bunkie.
The Bunkie contains three rooms connected by open archways. The first room holds a queen bed and a desk with a gorgeous lakeview where you can pen sunshine and serenity to the people you left behind in the city.
The centre room of the Bunkie is the cosiest reading spot on the lake and the sweetest bed to wake up in.
At the end of the Bunkie hide two twin beds, each tucked into its own little nook. These are so cute and cosy you might give up the king bed for one of them!
